VarioPack NT - iF product design award 2006
The so-called "Design Oscar" in the category of good product design and excellent quality. It was announced that the "globe packaging award" was for the first time to be included within the 'iF product design award for 2006'.
Receiving the award was a new, two-piece product line for the packaging and trade presentation of heavy masonry drills, with a secondary use for storage. New and unique: the bayonet closure of both parts works against the 'concertina' wall section of the tube, creating a shock absorbing effect and secure fixing of the tool. Through this special design, the tool is held centrally and securely in place at each end of the tube. By prevention of movement of the tool within the pack, any accidental opening or damage to the pack is avoided. Further features are the sturdy integral hanging loop, and optimum product presentation through the transparency of at least one part of the tube. The pack may also be adapted to automated packaging.
